Maison du Parc - A welcoming place and the Head office of the Park
Located in the middle of the forest, this C16th house is a privileged welcome point for our visitors.
Open all year round, the staff of the tourist office are at your service for all tourist information. A permanent exhibition presents the territory of the Park and the actions undertaken.
Exhibitions
The permanent and temporary exhibitions
• On the ground floor, an evocation of the park's natural heritage is presented through three themes: the land, water and the forest. They are illustrated by the human activities associated with them: the exploitation of iron ore, green moulding sand, chalk and clay for the land; ponds, irrigation, drainage and log floating for water; forestry, the use of wood, the habitat and cut lime trees from the forest.
• on the first floor, the present, characterized by the important developments that have marked the territory, is illustrated by the actions undertaken by the regional nature Park.
• temporary exhibitions (painting, photos, scultures) complete this presentation of the Forêt d'Orient Regional Nature Park.
Location
On the road separating Lake Orient and Lake Temple, at the junction of Road D79 and D43, the "Maison du Parc" is 6 km/ 4miles away from Géraudot and 6km/4Miles from Mesnil-St-Père.

Free admission, open all year round, (closed between Xmas and New-Year)
